Heidi’s 4th Gotcha Day

Gotcha Day is different for every family. I suppose Heidi’s Gotcha Day was technically the day she came home from the hospital after being born but we celebrate the day her adoption was finalized as her Gotcha Day. We do the same with Wyatt. We make their favorite meal for dinner and then have a “Gotcha Day” cake with candles. Wyatt picked out the cake for her this year, very fancy pink, her “fay-brit” he said. I think she liked it! 😉

Heidi: “Mommy, Daddy is being naughty to you.”
Me: “What’s he doing?”
Heidi: “He’s telling you what he’s going to do.”
Me: “Why’s that naughty?”
Heidi: “Because he’s not supposed to tell you what he’s going to do; he’s supposed to do what you tell him to do.”

Tonight’s bedtime story: DC SUPER FRIENDS Flying High

Wyatt: “Where are the rest of the super heroes?”
Heidi: “Shopping probably. I wonder where Wonder Woman is. I bet she’s at work.”

Me: “Why did you get in bed with me and Daddy in the middle of the night?”
Heidi: “I woke up and was scared because I was the only human in my bed.”
