Whew!

What to do when you can’t find the shirt that goes with those TMNT pajama pants and your 3 year old is about to lose it?

Sharpie + undershirt = matching TMNT shirt/happy kid

The Dunlap’s Do Disney

5 long days at Disney World sure did go by very fast! We had a blast and it’s taken us two weeks to recover! We never made it to the parks by opening but we were there each night until they closed! Mike and I carried two sleeping kids out of the park every night, bathed sleeping kids, brushed the teeth of sleeping kids and collapsed ourselves. No ride was too high, fast or scary for my daredevils! We can’t wait to go again!

Valentine’s Day 2014

We started a new Valentine’s Day tradition last year. We have family over instead of going out. We decorate the house, light candles and dim the lights, cook a gourmet dinner and drink from fancy glasses. The kids, and the grown-ups, love it. Our 2nd annual Valentine’s celebration made it a very special night.

On the menu last night: dry rubbed, slow cooked baby back ribs with tomatillo sauce, broccoli sauteed in garlic and olive oil, Spanish rice, Mexican street corn, and homemade guacamole and chips.  For desert: cupcakes from Cupcake and tiramisu!DSC_0028trc_1DSC_0038trcDSC_0040trcDSC_0042DSC_0044trcDSC_0045trcDSC_0046trcDSC_0048trcDSC_0050trcDSC_0056DSC_0051trcDSC_0053trcDSC_0058trctrcDSC_0061trcDSC_0065DSC_0071DSC_0086trcDSC_0089trcDSC_0098trcDSC_0104trcDSC_0111DSC_0123trcDSC_0125trc

Father – Daughter Valentine’s Dance

Heidi and Michael attended their first father-daughter dance this year.  It was so sweet getting her ready with a fancy dress, a little blush, mascara and lip gloss. Then Daddy surprised her with a pearl necklace and bracelet!  What a special night!  I think Michael got ditched for her BFF after one dance (last pic.)DSC_0125trc DSC_0131trc DSC_0134trc DSC_0141trc DSC_0157trc DSC_0179trc DSC_0219trc DSC_0233trc DSC_0235trc1545908_141 (1)trc
