The ordinary days of September 2011 (the ones without Dora or marshmallows).

Nathaniel pushing his favorite girl in the swing.  😉

3 peas in a pod for a wagon ride

The end of a fun day finds Heidi and Nathaniel all cleaned up and in pjs, checking out the view from above.

I guess he likes it.

Miss Lindsay and the girls

Our little ballerina taking a rest

Heidi helped decorate Mike’s birthday cake.  You can see she did a taste test too.  I wouldn’t normaly put sprinkles on a cake but she sure had fun.

Wyatt patiently waited to taste it himself.

Rain Day

Future ocean explorer…

or future movie star?

View from the Aquarium

Some toys that were intended for him became Heidi’s and some that were Heidi’s became his.  This bear, for instance.  He loves it!

It’s incredible how boys are just drawn to video games.  Heidi has never touched this controller and still doesn’t even though Wyatt grabs it any time he can.  (Usually if he has something, she wants it, no matter what it is.)

Likes this too, apparently.

“Oh, Daddy!  I love it!  Mommy wants to know where hers is.” (Just kidding; it’s only make-up.)

Happy Heidi!  If we get in the car to go somewhere she says “I go to ballet.”  Everytime, without fail.  🙂

Wyatt’s “Mark on the Wall”

I can’t neglect to post the pics from Wyatt being measured on his first birthday and getting his mark on the wall! In these pictures it looks like he started his birthday right and finished it even better!

Buttered bread with sprinkles, our birthday breakfast tradition!

He likes it!

End the day with cake!

Actually, he ended the day with getting his mark on the wall.

Stand up tall, buddy!

It only works if you stand up tall and let me do my job, buddy.

There we go!

Random August

Couldn’t you just squeeze him?!

Always laughing, smiling or smirking!

Heidi loves to wear Mommy’s heels and is quite good at walking in them.

XOXO

Zzzzzzzzz.

Sometimes there is no time to suit up for some spontaneous backyard pool and water-table fun!

Yes, he tasted the sidewalk chalk and I fear he likes it.

Somehow Wyatt gets filthy and Heidi stays clean.

Her everyday heels…Cinderella, of course.

Looking for cloud animals

When Uncle David comes over, they bombard him with requests to see the “Gummy Bear” video.

Little readers, Stella and Heidi

Wyatt loves his dump truck!

Heidi loves to don all of her fancy threads and accessories at one time.

Meet monkey, an annoying and wonderful toy. When Wyatt takes his banana he goes crazy, making all kinds of monkey noises!  Wyatt loves it!!!

Everyone loves to color, Ya Ya too!

Fishing for ice, Heidi’s favorite. She shouts, “RICE!”

Me and my Daddy

Snuggling Uncle Paulie

Sleepy Time

I’m not sure if she taught him to climb into the water table or if he taught her, as she does it often herself.  Just a water table?!  No way!  That’s a multipurpose toy!

HEIDI’S FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

Heidi’s school recommends you use the carpool drop off lane for the first week to ease the transition of being left at school. I took their recommendation; after all, this is their job so they ought to know what they are talking about. We talked about going to school while on the way there and about her teacher and what she would do at school (play). We arrived at school and one of the teachers came to the car. As Miss Susan unbuckled her they talked about playing and having fun. Heidi looked at me as Miss Susan took her from the car and said, “Bye, Mommy.” She did not look back. My brave girl was off! This is how she approaches most everything. It is a blessing and a curse that she is so fearless but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I much prefer having to be on high alert since she is not. I want her to one day be the kind of woman who is not afraid to throw caution to the wind.
