Heidi, just now: “Mommy, I’m awake. I want a tattoo. Can I pick two tattoos?” (Seriously, what else do you do at 1 AM?)
When our parents told us nothing good happens after midnight, they were right. A ladybug and fish tattoo later, she is headed back to bed. As am I.
We made our first trip to Bee City, in Givhans, SC. It’s quite a place! Petting zoo, beehives, reptile center, restaurant, kids garden and more! The kids had a great time! http://beecity.net/
Wyatt and I had an afternoon together, just the two of us. We visited Krispy Kreme, which was his first time. He loved it, big surprise! Of the doughnuts in progress, he said, “Look Mommy, it’s a doughnut RI-A-VAH (river)!”

We have arrived in Atlanta for a weekend visit! The kids are thrilled with the tall buildings, the birds-eye view and our hotel suite. First timers for all three!
Oh my goodness! There is an indoor heated pool in our hotel! Another first! Bathing suits, jackets and boots for the stroll through the lobby and then… CANNONBALL!

DIVA! Heidi’s eyes are so light sensitive and so is her mood when she wakes up. Glasses help. Looks like I will have a makeup assistant this morning.
I was mistaken. No assistant, just a makeup thief.
We met one set of cousins, 2nd cousins, and an aunt and uncle for dinner and frozen yogurt one night. Pictured are 3 of the 4 2nd cousins here tonight. The 4th isn’t ice cream ready yet, so he’s hanging out a little further down the bench.
LEGOLAND!
Kim and Samantha met us for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a brief but wonderful visit!
We got to see 1st cousin Samantha one day! Heidi is playing the opposite game. You know, where you do the opposite of what your Mommy asks, in this case, “Open your eyes.”

We came home one day early but spent our last vacation day together! Lunch out and then a movie, The Croods. The arcade games are a big draw on the way in and out of the theater.
Heidi: “Mommy, I want pink, sparkly, castle teeth in my mouth.”
I guess that is a 3.5 year-old princess’ version of a grill.

Those boots are too big now, but not for long.
When I came home from work the other day this piece of brick was on the kitchen counter. As I asked Catherine, our nanny, where it came from, Heidi piped up. With her sternest voice and a scowl on her face, she said, “Tilly had that in her mouth! She was eating my house! I yelled at her, ‘Tilly, don’t eat my house!’ ”
With a smile I explained to Heidi that the piece of brick probably was leftover from when our house was built and Tilly just found in when she was digging, which I hate just as much as her eating the house. 😉
Heidi is not convinced and Tilly stands warned not to do it again. (Dig or eat the house.)
