We had another beautiful day of Fall fishing!

There is nothing like being ambushed for a kiss! He nearly knocked me down!

Heidi and I made pies for Thanksgiving. There was flour everywhere!

My mouth waters just remembering how delicious they were.

Ready to go in the oven!

Thanksgiving feast in progress. Both ovens were full to the brim.

This casserole dish was full to the brim as well! I forgot to buy small marshmallows and had to use the regular size for the sweet potatoes!

Mmmmmm!

Carve it up!

Don’t be fooled. This boy does not get pinned down unless he allows it! The Elsey boys and his sister gave Wyatt a good tickle session!

James Island County Park opens around Thanksgiving weekend for the Festival of Lights. First stop? Carousel!

Ticket? CHECK Sword? CHECK Game face? CHECK

Heidi wanted no part of sitting on Santa’s lap. Like most kids, she has no issue telling me what she wants but only had one request for Santa on this night…”things to hang in my Mommy’s ears.” It was the sweetest thing! Santa came through on Christmas, FYI.

Ever cautious, Heidi made sure not to stand too close or look Santa in the eye. 😉

I guess she decided he was safe.

Wyatt followed Heidi’s lead, refusing to sit in his lap. His sole request? Cars.

The lights were fascinating!

The Wednesday night after Thanksgiving my little ballerina helped me get the lights on the tree!

We have a very special heirloom nativity that Michael’s father made and this one that I let the kids set up and play with each year. I am sure the angel cares not where in the nativity it resides as long as it is near Jesus. I’m sure that camel is not much on his position though.

Anytime that we returned home after dark, Heidi said that we needed lights on our house. She was so tickled once they were up!
