That’s what Heidi said when she heard the ice cream truck coming back around the corner.
We were in the backyard when we first heard the music. “You hear dat?” Heidi said. We ran to the front yard but missed it! Thankfully it would have to go back by our house to exit the neighborhood. We waited.
Neither of the kids have ever seen an ice cream truck before. To be honest, I’ve never had ice cream from an ice cream truck before. They don’t make it down rural dirt roads like the one I grew up on. π¦ I’ve lived in town for almost 15 years but still haven’t bought ice cream from an ice cream truck. Some things are just more exciting when you are a kid. As luck would have it, some things are more exciting when you have kids. π So when I heard the music I was thrilled to see the kids’ reactions when they realized where the music was coming from.
Now y’all know how social Heidi is. When she got to the truck she told the guy, “This is an ice cream truck.” His reply? “Ha, Ha. Thanks for letting me know!” In regards to the music playing, she looked at him and said, “Y’all singing a song?”

It was 5:30 PM. Dessert before dinner? Why not? It’s not every day you have your first ice cream from an ice cream truck!
THUMBS UP!

“I finished my ice cream!”

Delish!
