Today was a big day for Wyatt. He took his first step while I was at work and took a few more once I got home. In addition, the new Victoria’s Secret catalogue arrived in the mail. What’s the big deal about the VS catalogue? Well, apparently Wyatt appreciates the female form. It is no surprise. He is the sweetest, most snuggly baby and has always been instantly calmed when pressed against a woman’s chest, any woman’s chest. My formula fed baby has instinctively known from day one that boobies were something special.

Well, on with the story. The VS catalogue ended up on the floor. Wyatt’s radar sounded: crinkly paper, pages to turn, pictures, out-of-the-ordinary toy. He quickly crawled over to it, sat up and started turning the pages. He settled on a page and began deliberately pointing here and there on the page. Catherine, our nanny, walked over to him and saw that he was pointing at each of the model’s chests (3 in total). She chuckled and said “Sorry buddy, those aren’t real.” At which point he picked up the magazine with both hands and buried his face in the fold.

Boys will be boys and it starts early.
